About the company:
SchoolTalent is a platform that connects students (elementary, middle school and high school) with selected tutors. We are an innovative and progressive scale-up with one mission: to make education accessible for everyone. We make it easy for the student to find their own tutor. When the tutor and student find each other, we facilitate the student experience with tools, learning material, didactic guidance and more. And we do all this, while pricing fairly.
We are a promising tech-savvy startup-moving-into-scaleup that launched our product in the Netherlands in 2020 (Bijles Aan Huis) and in Germany (Lernigo) in 2021. Ever since the launch, we have seen explosive growth in the number of students, tutors, and revenue. This growth resulted in more funding which allowed us to hire more talent to help us build a better product and accelerate our growth (like with the expansion to Germany).
We have a fully remote team of 24 from all over the world. It is working, we are growing fast, we have excellent backing, there are some very exciting times ahead for us and we are hiring to expand our team!

Responsibilities of this role include:
- Work with software developers and support/sales teams
- Carry out manual functional, regression and scalability testing
- Writing test scripts covering both positive and negative scenarios – > Testpad
- Nurture a genuine interest in our software and keep yourself up to date with best practice and innovation in testing
- Run manual tests using E2E automation suite -> Cypress
- Writing automated tests with Cypress
- Test in different environments including web and mobile –> lambdatest/browserstack
- Find, report, track and ensure the defects fixed using Youtrack.
Further details of this role:
- Working in employment (32 hours per week)
- You will have flexibility to choose your own hours around default team meetings
- You can work from anywhere you want!
Key skills required
- Able to work independently and a good team player
- Thorough and analytical approach
- Problem-solving skills and an excellent attitude to learning new skills
- Strong record keeping and documentation skills
- A strong eye for detail
- At least 2 years experience as QA tester/engineer
- Being able to write automated tests with Cypress
